Guide tubes OLDA GT
Function:
A guide tube is used together with flush bolts with round bolt, to ensure a secure bolting, especially in connection with prolonged bolts and/or long rods.
The guide tube also optimizes the function of the flush bolt by reducing the friction between bolt and its exit hole in the door leaf.
Features:
The guide tubes OLDA GT is 20 mm deep and have circular holes.
GT 8 with hole Ø 8.5 mm is intended for bolt Ø 8 mm. For flush bolts with lesser backset, for example 34 HZA-DS and 36 HZM-DS, is GT 8 (12) available, which is a version with shorter (and more narrow) forend.
GT 10 with hole Ø 10.5 mm is intended for bolt Ø 10 mm.
GT 12 with hole Ø 12.5 mm is intended for bolt Ø 12 mm. For flush bolts with lesser backset, for example 43 HZA-20T and 33 HZM-20, is GT 12 (20) available, which is a version with shorter forend.
GT 14 with hole Ø 14.5 mm is intended for bolt Ø 14 mm.
Manufactured in zinc. Coating: electro zinc plating.
Usage:
Recommended to secure the function and prolong the lifespan of flush bolts etc.
Recessed fitting in doors of wood, steel- or aluminiumprofiles.
Guide tubes GT is often used together with lock tubes OLDA LT (with oval holes) in frame or sill, which is especially important if the door leaf has automatic drop seals. The purpose of the oval hole in lock tubes LT is to handle if the door leaf “hangs” over the years. If a more precise lock tube is required, a guide tube GT with the appropriate size of round hole can be used instead, since also the holes on GT is countersunk.
Installation:
OLDA GT is fitted in the top or the bottom of the door leaf edge. The outer diameter is 22 mm (except GT 8 (12) which only is 14 mm) and the total height is 20 mm. When the forend of the guide tube is fitted externally, visible height is only 2 mm. The round corners also facilitates fully recessed fitting.
Usually OLDA GT is fitted along side the door leaf width. At enough depth of the door leaf (e.g. 60 mm) OLDA GT can also be fitted in the opening direction of the door.
