Olda Innovation has in 2010 gathered 25 years experience as a company within its line of business.
In the beginning, design was the main area of business, but later also manufacturing of specialized tools and equipment for customers like Volvo Car Corporation, SKF and others.
In the beginning of the 90'ies the company also began developing door fittings.
This has contributed to that we have obtained good knowledge of the development of prototypes and serial production of low volumes.
We have also gained good insight of the demands of the market and authorities regarding metal hardware products.
Olda Innovation can today offer our customers complete solutions, from idea to prototype and serial production of low volumes, or manufacturing on a subcontracting basis.

We can also manufacture low volume series according to your drawings.
We have especially good knowledge in the development of specialized tools and equipment for the manufacturing industry. Examples of such products are fixtures, tools for assembly, conveyor-racks and specialized components and spare parts for assembly lines.
We are furthermore a certified manufacturer of packing material for dangerous goods.
We handle most materials, for example steel - including stainless, aluminium, plastic and wood.
Project management is also something we are experienced in, regardless of, if it is the development a single prototype or manufacturing of a series of products which are to be delivered according to a certain timeplan.
We also have experienced staff in pneumatics and special machinery.
Our staff are naturally our most important resource, they have through the years gathered individual knowledge and specialities.
Except the usual traditional machining we also have equipment for both CNC-turning and CNC-milling, which are optimized for production of low volume series.
Many both lighter and heavier designs have passed through our welding department, where we amongst other things have the possibility to TIG-weld for example aluminium.
In our laser marking equipment we can offer advanced marking, i.e. logotypes, serial number, manufacturing date etc. on different materials, like steel, aluminium and some plastics, also parts which have had surface treatment like zinc plating, anodizing and color coating are usually suitable for lasermarking.
We can arrange most types of coating, for example; zinc plating, anodizing and powder- and wet-coating.
Our own manufacturing of door fittings provides all of Europe
with products known for their quality and reliable functionality.
The business concept of OLDA Innovation AB is to develop and manufacture door fittings of high quality, at reasonable prices in the right time.
The first series of door fittings was introduced to the Scandinavian market in 1992. Since then the product range has constantly been expanded and refined.
Focus on export to Europe was initited in 1997, and today, Olda products can be found in most of the European countries.
Our strength is based on flexibility. As a manufacturer we can offer our "large quantity customers" customized solutions based on our products. Another example is that we can offer different colours on coating or other surface treatment according to request.
All development and most of the manufacturing are performed at our facilities in Gothenburg. For casting and coating we rely on our sub-contractors.
In Sweden, sales is carried out by our nation-wide wholesalers.

All door coordinators have been revised through improved design, for example has
30 DK been equipped with a spring-loaded stop, which reduces the strain on the hinges of the door, and also a reinforced mechanism for safer function and improved durability.
The flush bolt series, forend width 18 mm, receives a new addition in the flush bolt
37 HZ, which facilitates easier opening of a door-set in the case of an emergency escape.
To this product we recommend the adjustable lock plate 19 HZ, for an improved "hold close" function etc.
Sliding door fittings
Now our product range also contains fittings for sliding doors, a flush ring handle
85 PM, and a cover for a flush lock handle,
86 PM.
The manual flush bolt
33 HZM-32, is improved in its construction.
The flush bolt 43 HZ-32T, which is automatic, fits in the same cut-out.
Series 33 HZ, automatic flush bolts, is modernized and now consists of two new standard versions with forend in stainless steel.
A new adjustable(!) dust excluding floor socket, 18 HZ is launched, where the center of the hole Ø13 is adjustable.
The demand for products with nice design and high quality, has inspired us to do improvements and to reintroduce our door handles, now in "stainless steel look".

A new dust excluding floor socket in stainless steel, 17 HZ-R with two different hole dimensions; Ø13 and Ø16 mm. is introduced.
The new series automatic flush bolts, 43 HZ, is developed and production is initiated. Tests have shown very good results, regarding function and durability - including when the product is fitted in heavier steel doors.
The final steps to complete the series where the width of the lock-pillar is 18 mm are made.

The automatic flush bolt 28 HZ further developed and will like the new 30 HZ be made of bent steel plate.
The manual flush bolts 29 HZ and 30 HZ are replaced by a refined product. The new manual flush bolt, which inherits the name 30 HZ, is operated by a lever-mechanism and are made of bent steel plate (instead of cast steel).
Flush bolts series 33 HZ is complemented with the manual 33 HZM which is operated by a lever-mechanism.

Manual flush bolt
Release and locking of passive door-leaf is made manually.
All our manual flush bolts is operated by a lever-mechanism.
Automatic flush bolt
Release of passive door-leaf is done automatically, when the active door-leaf is opened, and the falling latch is released.
Locking is obtained automatically when active door-leaf closes, when the falling latch is pushed in and thereby activates the bolt (see picture).
Automatic flush bolts is often recommended where fire-proof demands exists.
Semi-automatic flush bolt
Release of passive door-leaf is done manually.
Locking is obtained automatically when passive door-leaf is closed.
The bolt is constantly activated, which means that this flush bolt only can be fitted at the top in the passive door-leaf.
Recommended as a complementary product where an automatic flush bolt is installed at the bottom in the passive door-leaf. This setup results in an easy made manual release and a secure locking sequence in two steps, which also contributes to a smoother closing of the door set.
Automatic flush bolt
The (automatic) flush bolts which are not equipped with a reversible latch have to be ordered and fitted according to the following:

Case 1 :
Left-hung door - left door-leaf is passive :
A flush bolt to be fitted
at the top should be RIGHT.
A flush bolt to be fitted
at the bottom should be LEFT.
Case 2 :
Right-hung door - right door-leaf is passive :
A flush bolt to be fitted
at the top should be LEFT.
A flush bolt to be fitted
at the bottom should be RIGHT.
(The passive door-leaf is the one not normally used for passage.)
This applies to the flush bolts in series 31 HZ, series 33 HZ,
28 HZ, 34 HZ and 37 HZ.
The flush bolts 26 HZ, 27 HZ, 35 HZ and 43 HZ is 'universal' i.e. reversible.
Prevents the door-leaves at double-leaf door-sets from closing in the incorrect order.
25 DK is fitted on the top of the frame and suits both left- and right-hung doors.

1. The active door-leaf is prevented from closing by the lock-head of the coordinator,
2. hence, the passive door-leaf closes first
3. and the coordinator releases the active door-leaf
4. and both the door-leaves have been closed in the correct order.

Components of precision cast steel, machining according to fixed tolerances, vigorous tests and competent staff who have undergone extensive training, ensures that products with trademark "OLDA" meets both the needs of the market and the authorities' extensive requirements, regarding function and durability.
All products are delivered with those accessories necessary for a correct installation and function. The purpose of recommended accessories is to secure a correct function with increased durability or in certain environments.
Several factors effect the function of the door, the door-set and its fittings require regular preventative maintenance. In general, fittings with movable parts, should have maintenance at least two times per year. If the door-set is located in an official space with high traffic, a more frequent service is recommended. When testing the function of movable parts, greasing is recommended.
Fittings are tested for approval according to different standards and norms, but in the end it is always the customer who approves if the product fulfil the needs and demands in question. Work is being carried out to adapt national standards into European standards. We design and continuously improves our products to meet the different norms etc. that might become applicable.
We are continuously developing our products to further improve quality, durability and function. Furthermore, new products are introduced on a regular basis to meet the demand of the market. This means we have to reserve ourselves for the possibility that the product range and technical data regarding the products might change.

2010 was the year the OLDA® trademark celebrated 25 years!
Many new products have seen the light of day through the years.
And the development continues.
The family-owned company OLDA AB was formed 1985 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
In the beginning, design was the main area of business, but later also manufacturing of specialized tools
and equipment for customers like Volvo Car Corporation, SKF and others.
All development and most of the manufacturing are performed at our facilities in Gothenburg. For casting and coating we rely on our sub-contractors.
We are continuously working to improve quality and knowledge within the company.
As an example we are a certified manufacturer of packing material for dangerous goods.
